We care about our choises

our fabrics

Choosing the right fabrics and qualities are essential to us - this is where our designs come to life, and this is one of the most important aspects in securing a long lifecycle for our garments.

Therefore, we take care to ensure that the quality of our products is always higher than the number on the price tag. We want to always offer fashionable clothing for women, where quality is always available for less.

Viscose

Viscose is a regenerated cellulose fiber made from chemically treated wood pulp.

Regenerated cellulose fibers are made by taking a natural raw material such as wood, grass or leftover cotton and cutting it up and treating with solvents or other chemicals to be broken down to a fiber that can be spun into a thread.

Viscose has a lightweight, silky drape and is smooth to be touch. The term ''viscose'' refers specifically to the solution of wood pulo that is turned into the fabric. It is a soft and breathable fiber loved by many.

We can proudly say that a majority of our viscose products will be made from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, a branded viscose fiber, only made by the Austrian company LENZING AG.

Derived from certified and controlled wood sources and produced with significantly lower fossing energy use and water than generic viscose, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibers are certified with the internationally recognized EU Ecolabel for textile products (license no. AT/016/001).

A special manufacturing system enables LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibers
to be identified in the final product, even after long textile processing and
conversion steps through the value chain.

Cotton

Cotton garments are popular and loved by many of our consumers. It is soft and comfortable, and if woven right, the durability is high on both fabric and dye.

Cotton derives from the cotton plant and is all around the world. Cotton is a very water consuming plant and is often protected from insects by using pesticides.
Cotton can always be treated with GMO's, to ensure a larger outcome in the individual plant.

Organic cotton on the other hand is grown without the use of toxic chemicals.
This includes pesticides and GMO's (genetically modified organisms). This makes the growth and cultivation of organic cotton better for biodiversity and protects the soil.

Organic Cotton also consumes high amounts of water, but since pesticides are not used, the soil has more natural nutrition and therefor it needs less water over time.

When it is GMO free, you do not get the same outcome from the plant, hence you will need a bigger area to grow the same amount of cotton. Choose organic cotton for the sake of not using pesticides and toxic chemicals, rather than saving water. If you want to save water, there are other natural fbers to choose from.

The majority of our cotton products are made from organic cotton. We offer a wide range og cotton products and always strive to source the best qualities in the market where quality, price and availability are important parameters.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic fiber made from crude oil, then added chemicals. Being made from crude oil, makes this part of the most polluting industry in the world. Also, polyester dyes are far from environmentally friendly - in fact, they're toxic.

Polyester is a very strong synthetic fiber, which works very well in outerwear. Polyester garments are popular because they do not stretch or winkle, bring flexibility and comfort, not do they shrink, and they are easy to wash.

However, these qualities come with a significant cost.

We have enough plastic in the world and in the landfills - we do not need to produce new plastic as we can reuse and recycle already existing platic.

Therefore, we are working toward replacing our virgin polyester with a more responsible alternative - recycled polyester.

Recycled polyester is derived from plastic waste or polyester fabrics as either production leftovers or post consumers products. The production reduces the human and environmental impact compared to conventional polyester, as it reduces the extraction of natural resources.

Many of our most popular products are made from recycled polyester. It is important to us to convert all our most popular polyester items from virgin polyester to recycled polyester, to offer a more resource efficient option.
